Nursery Chairs

Do we have a chair for you!  Every child needs their own chair.  :)  As part of our fundraising for the Bolivia mission trip this fall, Bryan and I are painting nursery chairs.  These chairs will go great in a nursery or play room.  What grandparent doesn't need one for when their grandchildren come to visit?  The possibilities are endless!

We have 4 different size wooden chairs that can be customized to your child's personality.  From the ground to the seat, we have 10", 12", 14" and 16" chairs.

Options are as followed:
-$25 chair in Gold, White, Gray, Coral, or Turquoise (turquoise color not shown)
-additional $10 to add your child's name in vinyl on the back of the chair (see coral chair for example)
-additional $15 to add a multi-colored name in vinyl to to seat of the chair (see gray for example)

**Vinyl color options discussed when ordering.

And a beautiful model to show the different sizes of chairs:   :)

Christy's shower

This past weekend I had the pleasure of being a hostess for a bridal shower.  Christy, the beautiful bride, is getting married this fall and requested a "British Tea Party" for her shower.  Well, when you are planning a shower with fabulous people... you get a fabulous shower!  Christy, I hope it was everything you dreamed of and more importantly, I hope and pray your marriage is joyous and centered in Christ.  It was such a blast celebrating with you.

The shower was held at my mom's house and the hostesses did a great job of using their talents.  It was such a great group to work with because we each brought such special skills to the table.

Christy's guestbook was the white tea pot.  Everyone signed for a special keep sake.

We had 2 tea bars.  This was the Iced Tea bar, including peach, strawberry hibiscus, regular, (I forgot the 4th), and cucumber-lemon-spearmint water.

We also had a hot tea bar featuring 3 different types of teas.

The bride's new last name will be Salch.  So Erin thought of the adorable saying for over the dessert bar.  I was tasked with making this "Sweet and Salch-y" banner and others.  I love how it turned out, and now I'm ready for more!

I made a doily picture banner from engagement pictures.

And my favorite:

We rearranged my mom's house and pulled out all of her antique furniture from the formal living room for the special occasion.  Christy, Erin, and I were not allowed to play on this furniture when we were little, so this was a big deal. :)

Here are all the hostesses in our British Tea hats. Abigail is wearing my hat from when I was little.  (She was so happy to be there)

We had to get our Weber/Feemster Girls picture -- hands on the hip and everything.

Happy wedding shower Christy.  You are dearly loved!

More Finished Pieces

Here are two more pieces that we re-did this summer.  All profits from the furniture is helping to pay for a mission trip we are going on over Thanksgiving.  I created a Facebook page, HazzardousHousewife to post items to as well.  Feel free to go like and share!

The first one was a cute side table that we cleaned up, primed, painted and polyurethaned.

Abigail was so excited that we sold this piece in not time at all!  It was sold 7 minutes after posting!

This piece had a date on the bottom that read Nov. 22, 1957.  That's older than my dad! It was neat to know we brought this piece "back to life."

The before and after:

This next piece was all Bryan, and our biggest money maker so far! :) He was talking with my sister one day and she mentioned how this would be cool as a liquor cabinet.  He took that idea and ran with it!  I thought he was crazy and thought we should focus on other things first.... I mean look at it!

We spent MANY hours on this piece and kept saying to ourselves "We're almost done." Bryan sanded it down, primed and painted it.

He built a custom wine wrack from pallet wood.  We painted the wine wrack and drawer gray to give it some pop.  We reused the hinges and door pull, and "sproosed" it up with a new draw pull. Once it all came together... it is something we are both really proud of!

I love the design of the top, it makes this piece unique.

Talk about a transformation!

We still have the entry table for sale.  We're asking $150, but considering offers.  We will be posting to craigslist soon... so get it quick. :)
