Before Spring Break, Bryan and our friend Justin painted the guest bathroom. But they couldn't reach over the tub with the ladder without putting the ladder in the tub. At the time, they were worried it would damage the tub so they did their best, but couldn't get the edges above the tub. Yesterday Bryan hopped on the ladder and finished it off. He did a good job edging.
And we all know that a wet paint brush means touch-up time! I walked around the house and put sticky notes anywhere that needed touch-ups. It's funny when you're not looking close, I think the house is painted beautifully. When you stop and look up close, all of a sudden there is a TON of tiny spots needing a little help... well, not as many as there used to be now!
Those of you who have been over and used our guest bedroom, you know that the sink on the left would spew water in every direction without giving any warning. We have been talking about changing this since we moved in. A week or so ago, we were at Lowes and it just hit me that we needed new "dill-a-ma-flobs." It took Bryan an second but he finally figured out what I was talking about. We threw a pack of universal "dill-a-ma-flobs" in the cart and yesterday was finally installation day! Bryan changed all 4 faucets with the new pieces so they are all uniform. Out of our 4 faucets (2 in guest, 2 in master) that look just alike they all went on differently. Good thing we go the universal kind!
The last item on our fix it up list (and let's be clear... Bryan did all of this and I watched) was to run a cable cord around the new guest bedroom. Bryan nailed in the hooks to keep the wire in place and now we don't have a cord as a tripping hazard for this Hazzard. (See what I did there?)
That's all for this day. But if you take days like this every now and then, we'll have the house all fixed up the way we want it!
